I was gardening today, and the violets were driving me up the wall.
I couldn't contain them. Everywhere I looked, a violet. I pull them out by the root. They come back.
But there, in the middle of all those violets (incoming metaphor, brace yourself), was a gorgeous yellow iris. I mulched those damn violets (will it kill them? No idea) and stood there marveling at the way the iris broke through.
Breaking through the weeds isn't easy.
See what I did there? In this "golden age of AI" it is easier than ever to produce mediocre weeds (slop). Creative that loses the plot.
Think of those violet blooms as mediocre creative. They flower for a minute, pick up a few likes, and then just become annoying. They blend in with all the others.
Just because you can make it doesn't mean you should.
Show up as yourself, not AI violet-weed slop. Every day is a barrage of violets and AI mediocrity.
Being yourself, and letting your brand and the people who adore it be exactly what they are, goes further than you think.
Ok, enough technology for the day. I'm going to go mulch.
